News and Announcements
We are still waiting to see what summer swimming will look like in 2020. We will post updates as we receive information. Stay tuned!
Practice begins for all age groups (7 and over) on Monday, May 20th. Virginia Swim Shop will be at the pool for suit fitting and sale. This will be the only day they will be at the pool. Please plan on attending if you wish to purchase a new suit this year.
We are looking for parents to volunteer at swim meets this summer. There are some positions that require training prior to be able serve as a volunteer. Please consider attending a training session for strokes and turns officials and computer operator. No experience is necessary. Check out the training schedule for more information.
The document 2019_rmal_training_schedule.pdf was attached to this post.
Congratulations Marlins on a great way to start off the season. The Marlins won 978-550 . We certainly have some things to focus on in the next few weeks, but we also had some really impressive swims. We have a short turn around before our next meet (Tuesday at ACAC). Hopefully, we will see many of you at morning and/or evening practice from now until the end of the season. Don’t forget to let us know if you plan on swimming at the meet by filling out the attend/not attending on our website.
Due to scheduling conflicts at swimRVA and to obtain a more favorable rental rate, RMAL Swim Championships will be held on one day this year. Please plan your day now. The event will take place on Monday, July 23rd. The morning warm up session (10 and under) will start at 9:00 am and the afternoon warm up session (11 and over) will start at 2:30 pm. We know this will be an inconvenience for some, but with the constant threat of bad weather it will be well worth it. We will need numerous parents to volunteer to work the meet, so please plan accordingly.
